Jean Louis Toutain (1948-2008) was a French sculptor born in Toulouse, France
Very young already, he is passionate about painting. At the age of 14, he entered the Beaux-Arts in Toulouse; then goes into apprenticeship to learn ceramics.
His wife and children will be his great source of inspiration, and later, to restore these moments of family life in his sculptures.
He then seeks his way through various activities: theater, advertising, interior architecture, masonry, ergonomics, industrial design, among others, allow it to exercise his creativity and force his curiosity. At the same time, a sensitivity and personal research push him to sculpture. In 1987, he jumped and played for everything.
Toutain devotes himself entirely to his art. He admires Botero, Niki de Saint-Phalle and Moore. And little by little, the style emerges and the recognition follows.
