Stefan Thelen (1981), better known by his moniker Super A, is a Dutch emerging street and gallery artist who blends urban methods, graphic design and traditional painting techniques to give life to work that evolves out of his personal experiences and thoughts. Super A’s works are featured in the URBAN NATION 2018 exhibition, ‘UN-DERSTAND The Power of Art as a Social Architect’.
Super A is a Dutch artist who uses traditional painting technique and design sense to create compositions that manipulate familiar iconography into confusing and challenging pieces.
His alter ego is the filter through which Stefan Thelen's life and observations are distilled and transformed into artistic inspiration.
All of his works are the result of personal experiences or thoughts that are transformed into concepts that oscillate between fiction and non-fiction.
Super A is a mystery that uses art to make Stefan Thelen talk, taking the viewer on a yellow brick road to Wonderland in which Thelen's figurative and surrealist modern compositions provide puzzles to decipher with the eyes.
