Albert Fuss (1889-1969) was a German graphic designer. He studied at the art school in Frankfurt am Main. He worked as a graphic designer in Frankfurt am Main in the 1920s. His posters for the Hamburg-America line and the packaging for the cigarette and pharmaceutical industries are particularly well known. Fuss was also active for the Frankfurt International Fair for many years. In the mid-1920s, he was admitted to the Darmstadt Secession and became artistic director of the Frankfurter Zeitung. He also taught at the technical school for book and applied crafts in Frankfurt.
During the Nazi era, Fuss also created graphics for the NSDAP and designed the cover and wooden box for a parchment manuscript by Adolf Hitler's book Mein Kampf. This manuscript was presented to Hitler as a birthday present in 1936.
After 1945, Fuss continued to work as a graphic designer. In 1950 Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung, for example, he designed the advertising campaign of the German Central Agency for Tourism under the motto “Romantic Germany”.In 1950, he was responsible for the design of the advertising campaign the German National Tourist Office.
