Artist of the Day, September 12, 2026 : Jared Joslin, an American painter / surrealist (#2630)

Jared Joslin (1970) is a contemporary American figurative and surrealist painter known for crafting highly stylized, narrative-driven works that bridge the history of 20th-century realism with 21st-century dreamscapes.

Born in Fort Collins, Colorado, Joslin trained at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has developed a reputation for technical precision, primarily working in oil on canvas alongside meticulous charcoal, pastel, and pencil drawings. His art explores a deeply sensual, nostalgic past, pulling viewers into gilded portals of Weimar-era nightlife, Dust Bowl carnivals, and pre-code Hollywood glamour
