Here is how Sam Wood Wilson describe himself:
I leverage advanced digital tools to depict where art and technology merge. My work in 3D printing, digital modeling, painting, and printing is a continuous evolution reflecting the dynamic landscape of technological and artistic advancement.
The innovative manipulation of industrial technology tools allows for new artistic expressions.
While the depth of the technology I use may elude some, it opens a dialogue about the nature of reality, creation, and authenticity in our world. By exploring the interplay between digital and physical and the simulated versus real, a new question is asked of contemporary art and spatial understanding.
The work begins defining what a copy, replica, or reproduction is in an increasingly digital life.
I have shown extensively in the Northwest and has been included in various juried shows across the United States. My work was shown at the Linda Hodges Gallery in 2023 with my sculpture featured in a duo show.
I continue to create fine art while pursuing public work.
