Artist of the Day, February 13, 2026 : Izaskun Fernández, (How do I FEEL TODAY Project) a Mexican visual artist (#2479)

The How Do I Feel Today Project exhibition brings together a selection of the 365 portraits altered by the artist Izaskun Fernández throughout 2025. All the works begin with the same image. What changes is not the face, but the state of being. Each piece is an emotional record, a pause, a way of listening to what is happening inside while the world keeps turning.

Although born from a personal experience, this work speaks not only of its creator. The viewer does not observe the artist: they are confronted with a living archive and, in that encounter, they observe themselves.

When we create, we see ourselves. When we alter an image, we alter our history. When we express ourselves, we reclaim our dignity. Because creativity is not a luxury, but an emotional right, the How Do I Feel Today Project expands beyond the gallery as a living movement that opens spaces for creation, listening, and expression in diverse contexts and communities.
