Fanette Mellier (1977) is a French graphic designer, graduated in 2000 from the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. Specialist in printed graphics, she responds to orders, often atypical, in the cultural field. In parallel with this commissioned work, which confronts her with various issues, she is involved in experimental projects within the framework of residences, carte blanche and exhibitions.
These specific works, sometimes carried out with other creators (writers, musicians, scenographers ...), allow her to freely question fundamental notions of graphic design: typography, color, manufacture, relationship to public space ...
Her approach can be defined as a poetic exploration of industrial printing techniques, echoing the intellectual, cultural and social context of each project.
Fanette Mellier is a resident of the Académie de France in Rome - Villa Medici for 2012-2013
