Artist of the Day, August 25, 2023: Jennifer Rose Sciarrino, a Canadian emerging artist (#1888)

 Jennifer Rose Sciarrino (1983) lives and works in Toronto, Canada. She attained her BFA in 2006 at the School of Image Arts, Ryerson University. Most recently her work was included in NADA New York with Daniel Faria Gallery, New York; Patterned Recognition at Daniel Faria Gallery, Toronto; and Who’s afraid of Purple, Orange and Green? at Dunlop Art Gallery, Regina.

Sciarrino was one of the recipients of the 2013 Toronto Friends of the Visual Arts’ Artist Prize. Upcoming exhibitions include The pen moves across the earth: it no longer knows what will happen, and the hand that holds it has disappeared at Blackwood Gallery, Mississauga, and a two person show  with Karen Kraven. Sciarrino thanks the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council for their support of her practice.
