Kate Moross is an energetic designer who has immense love for typography and illustrations. She is a London-based graphic designer and art director who started off as a music records launch-pad.
Moross attended South Hampstead High School for primary and secondary school, going on to study art foundation at Wimbledon School of Art, before going on to complete a BA Degree at Camberwell School of Art in 2008.
Kate Moross is now known as Aries Moross, a creative director, illustrator and designer. Moross began her career in 2007, illustrating hand drawn flyers for London’s independent music scene, and established a vinyl only record label.
In 2007, Moross launched vinyl only record label, Isomorph Records, set up in order to explore further the relationship between design and music. The label has seen releases from Cutting Pink With Knives, Hearts Revolution, Midnight Juggernauts. Apes and Androids and Pictureplane. With each release Moross collaborated closely with the artists in order to create the definitive visual representation of their sound, that encapsulates the bands ideas and Moross’ vision for them. In 2008, Aries Moross was named at number 18 in the NME’s Future 50 innovators driving music forward.
Over the course of her career, she maintained close ties to the music industry whilst expanding into the realm of both art and creative direction.
Moross has taken on the role as creative director for a range of clients from pop artists to DJs, with projects spanning everything from album campaigns to live shows. Notable clients include Kylie Minogue, H.E.R, Disclosure, Spice Girls, Jessie Ware, and London Grammar.
Aries also works in the live music sector as a show director, directing shows for Disclosure, London Grammar and Kylie Minogue.
