Artist of the Day, July 26, 2025: Carl Dobsky, an American painter (#2225)

 Carl Dobsky (1972) is an American painter. His subjects often include everyday modern objects, figurative depictions of contemporary people, or urban landscapes.

Dobsky began his studies under the guidance of Jim Garrison. He then went to Florida to attend the Ringling School of Art and then the New York Academy of Figurative Art. From 2002 to 2004 he studied at the Water Street Atelier at the Jacob Collins Studio in New York. 

Dobsky also works on concept art and other commercial art. He has worked on projects for Electronic Arts, Disney, and Sony, among many others .

Carl Dobsky's gloomy depictions of Western hedonism and hypocrisy are becoming ever-more relevant and realistic.
