Among the Contemporary artists to watch in 2025 is Sam Smyth, artist, abstract painter and young British talent whose oversized works explore the interaction between colour, form and composition. The son of a paper engineer who created pop-up books for a living—a fun and whimsical craft involving mathematics, geometry and a methodical approach to creativity—Smyth approaches his own practice with a similarly meticulous precision.
