Michael C Place (1969) is a British born graphic designer. He is the Founder/Creative Director/Designer at/of the design studio Studio.Build. He lives and works in the North of England (West Riding of Yorkshire) with his wife.
His personal work is autoethnographic in approach, connecting personal experiences with the wider world through a commercial art/design lens. Themes that run through his work include: Popular culture, iconography, design systems, typography, the written word, nature, memories and emotion. Deeply reflective with a keen interest in his surroundings and the juxtaposition of the natural vs man-made world, the old world vs the new.
