Artist of the day, September 1: Bobbi-lee Hille, Australian photographer (Western Australia)

Australian photographer Bobbi-lee Hille, (1985), has paid homage to her Indigenous culture with stunning images of babies, with traditional Indigenous props and tools, as well as Aboriginal dot paintings. Captured in a harmonious environment, the mesmerising photographs give an insight into Aboriginal culture and traditions. As a Perth photographer, Bobbi-lee’s style is known to be fresh, modern, bright, colourful and clean. Her pictures have a bright, light, contemporary quality that is unique. She strives to make the photography session fun, silly and relaxed to bring out lots of smiles and laughter as well as loving candid family moments.

“I wanted to photograph Indigenous babies and bellies to create awareness of our beautiful culture and people,” Ms Hille said. “It's celebrating Indigenous culture and new life through photography. It is very important to me to keep our culture alive, to promote awareness and show how beautiful the traditions are.”
