Artist of the Day, May 14, 2022: Marco Melgrati, an Italian freelance illustrator (#1569)

The Italian illustrator Marco Melgrati (1984), who works as a freelancer in different countries such as the United States, Italy and Mexico, has impregnated his work with a critical component that shows the disappointment he feels towards some aspects that characterize today's society.

One of the issues that he most criticizes is how social networks have changed culture and human behavior. Likewise, corruption in politics or current conflicts are also a reason for his illustrations. In this sense, all of them are an invitation for the public to reflect on the reality in which we live.

The illustrations are a representation of the society in which we live. With a humorous and vindictive approach, Melgrati captures some social topics that are really difficult to explain with words, but with images they are very clear for users.
