Artist of the Day, June 7, 2025 : Yuree Kensaku, a Thai artist, painter, sculptor (#2299)

Yuree Kensaku (1979) is a Thailand artist, sculptor, painter. She graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Bangkok University. She is a Thai-Japanese artist who has achieved international recognition in contemporary art for her vibrant and thought-provoking works.

Working across multiple mediums, including painting, design, street art, animation, music, live performance, and sculpture, her art features bright, cartoon-like visuals that often conceal deeper critiques of society, politics, philosophy, and the human condition. She addresses themes such as environmental issues and the darker aspects of humanity.

Yuree Kensaku’s works are included in the permanent collections of Mori Art Museum, Singapore Art Museum, Yokohama Museum of Art, and MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum, as well as many high-profile private collections.
