Melinda Beck is an award-winning illustrator, animator, and graphic designer whose versatile work bridges commercial design, editorial storytelling, and large-scale public art. Based in New York City, she has developed creative campaigns and visuals for a diverse portfolio of high-profile global brands, institutions, and publications, including Nike, Netflix, Target, Supreme, The New York Times, and the U.S. Postal Service.
A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Beck’s distinct artistic voice has earned prestigious industry accolades, including two Emmy nominations and medals from the Society of Illustrators. Her cultural impact is further highlighted by the Library of Congress, which acquired a series of her political prints for its permanent collection. Beyond her studio work, she shapes the next generation of creative talent by teaching at the School of Visual Arts.
Beck’s recent major projects demonstrate her ability to scale her vision for vast public spaces and community engagement. She designed the commemorative stamp series marking the 50th anniversary of Title IX for the U.S. Postal Service, authored and illustrated the children's book We Are Shapes for Phaidon Press, executed a massive 80-foot mural for Mural Arts Philadelphia, and created a series of public murals installed across more than 30 New York Public Library locations.
